Security Groups

The creation of a suitable Security Group is a prerequisite of the deployment of any instance but this is not adequately explained. It may be adequate to refer to the Amazon EC2 Getting Started Guide.

Clustered EAP Instances

This part of the guide is the most complex but has not yet been reviewed or edited.

EC2

I'm not satisfied with the introductory sections of the guide. Specifically, the fact that EAP/EWS operate exactly as they would on non-EC2 server needs to be emphasised.

Applying security updates

It needs to be documented that the line "yum -y update" needs to be added to the "User Data" field of any instance which is publicly accessible.
